Notes on Process:

Whether or not we’ve had to fill out paperwork, every woman (I am speaking here as a woman) who has any connection to the university as an institution also has a relationship with Title IX, just as we all have a relationship to patriarchy—even as we resist it, and are resisted by it. When Catalina asked me to contribute to Conclusions and Findings, I could not help but call to mind my own experience with Title IX. I suspect that women who have had experiences with Title IX  encounter their own stories within other women’s stories—it’s all a meshwork, and I wanted to visualize this enmeshment. The political is personal, and Title IX is a matter of administrative self-protection (and alibi) that infiltrates our thinking.
